Hi there. Here are the key points to address why the water filter reset light on the LG refrigerator model LRFXC24165 may not turn off after changing the water filter: 1. The reset process may not have been done correctly. The search results indicate that to reset the water filter indicator light, you need to hold down the "Water Filter" button on the front panel of the refrigerator for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off. 2. Ensure you are using the correct replacement water filter for your specific LG refrigerator model. The search results mention that you can check the model number on the old filter and match it to get the right replacement. 3. If the reset button does not work, there may be an issue with the water filter sensor or the control board in the refrigerator. In summary, the most likely reasons the water filter reset light won't turn off are: 1) not holding the reset button long enough, 2) using the wrong replacement filter, or 3) a potential sensor or control board issue. Carefully following the reset instructions should resolve the problem. If the symptom still persists, you may send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter using @LGUSSupport, or call our Customer Service at (800) 243-0000, and it we would be glad to help. ^Jolly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For ours we have to hold down the button to reset. I don’t believe it automatically resets once you replace the filter with a new one on most refrigerators.
