You sure can. This drive uses the same SATA controllers and cables as a solid state drive. The only issue is size. This is a 3.5" wide drive. Is there a space inside your computer for a drive this size?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. If you want to mount it without it just laying loose (which is OK) in the drive bay, then you will need a adapter to mount a 2.5 inch drive in a 3.5 inch drive space. You will be glad you went with a SSD as the speed of the computer will increase greatly.

Please try again later. If the space you are going to put this in can fit a larger physical drive (3.5 inch form factor) and you have the standard desktop power and data cables then it will work. This drive will NOT fit in a laptop as they are 2.5 inch form factor. Most solid state hard drives are 2,5 inch unless they are the type that are soldered onto the motherboard. This hard drive has a bit of weight and a metal case to it also and you cannot have it just laying in the case. Solid sate drives have almost no weight and have a plastic case so they can just lay in a case. Even if this drive would fit in your computer, I would stay with a solid state drive as the difference in speed of the computer is like day and night. I have replaced many analog drives with solid state and speed difference is amazing even for old slow computers. Bite the bullet and stay with the SSD you will be glad you did. It is worth the price difference. I would suggest you do a search on YouTube for your computer on how to replace the hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as it is SATA, you can do the swap.
