You download the Acronis software from WD's site. It is a limited version that allows you to clone drives and work with partitions. I think that you would need to pay for the full version to be able to do more extensive drive work and to backup and restore drive images on a scheduled basis.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You get it from Western Digital's website. It is a full version but only works on systems with WD drives installed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to http://support.wdc.com/product/downloaddetail.asp?swid=119 For Download and user guide
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will download the Acronis True Image software from the Acronis website. It will be an oem version that will require at least one of your HD's to be WD brand. Hope this helps in your decision.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to www.wd.com and under Support click on Downloads. Then enter the model number of your drive or click on the product type of your drive. You'll then see a page for Available Downloads for your product, Acronis being one of them. Click on it to download or, then run it and follow the prompts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just go to the Acronis website and search for the free WD version. Download and install.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a somewhat limited but free version. Go to the Western Digital website (WDC.com I think). Navigate down to the support for internal hard drives. Enter the model number and one of the options returned should be for the software and the user's guide. That should do it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The web site is at the top of the installation instructions... it's not the main support site. HOWEVER I had a lot of trouble with the very outdated "WD special edition" and trying to clone my old disk drive. I wouldn't recommend it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ATI software is a download from the WD support website. It’s a limited but mostly fully functional version of ATI’s regular software. It’s usually the previous year’s regular version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Western Digital's support website has a downloadable "WD Edition" of Acronis TrueImage, intended for use with a WD hard drive. I installed and ran ATI on my existing non-WD hard drive to perform a backup and create a restore disk on a USB stick. The stick will only work with a WD hard drive installed, otherwise it prompts you to purchase a full license. However the installed version of ATI is smart enough to wipe the old hard drive in place if you only have one drive cable.
