This WD 2Tb Blue hard drive is a SATA III drive. Yes, it should work in the Dell Inspiron 620s as long as you have a spare 3.5 inch hard drive bay, a spare SATA power connector and spare SATA data cable. If you are replacing the ST31000524AS, then you won't need a spare bay or cables except maybe for transferring you files.
