Should be fine for most desktops as long as you have an open slot for a 3.5" HDD. Check the specs on the website where you got it, should say if it has extra slots are available. For laptops you'll want the smaller 2.5" HDD. Don't forget to buy a SATA cable! My PC had extra cables inside that powers the drive but *NOT* the SATA (data) cable that connects to your board. I believe this is the case for most PCs.
