There is no "file system of the drive". What you are seeing is the difference between gigabytes and gibibytes (or terabytes and tibibytes). https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tebibyte https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terabyte Terabyte = a trillion (1,000,000,000,000) bytes Tibibyte = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes which is based on powers of 2. Many operating systems (like Windows) report disk space in Gibibytes or Tibibytes but use the shared GB or TB abbreviation.
