• Indeed it does - but don't ever forget your password = you'll never get your info back. I keep a copy of my vital passwords in a safe deposit box.

• Not that I saw. You would have to run an external program in order to password protect your files.

• Yes, but the contents of the drive is not encrypted. The easystore line of WD hard drives do not offer drive encryption. Instead, these features are available on the Passport line. List of drives not supported by WD Security https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=18103
