My Book has a 3-year warranty whereas Easystore has only a 2-year one. This suggests that the HDD inside My Book is of a somewhat higher grade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a My Book 2TB and an EasyStore 4TB. Both seem to work well but there is a bit of noise from the My Book.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can only tell you that the Easystore works great. Very Easy setup. Plug & play. Backup software is easy to work with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My Book for Mac was easier for me. EasyStore required formatting for Mac and it had no instruction manual in the box. Took too much extra time hunting all of that down.

I had a My Book go bad once after many years a long time ago. HOWEVER, an Easystore that I currently have JUST went bad on me and is only 6 weeks out of warranty! SO, it's is very noteworthy that the Easystore has a 2 year warranty while the MyBook has a 3 year warranty. Is the extra $50 (price difference) worth that extra year of protection? I have seen other people mention a similar experience with WD, but maybe its just bad luck! TODAY, I wish I had that extra year of warranty that the My Book gives. A replacement drive would have saved me $200 today!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Easystore is for always on backup, streaming and cloud share. Mybook it like an oversized thumb drive that requires USB power via PC (Not great for maintaining constant backups) that is morely used for storage and portability of school and work files with less software/network shareing capabilities.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The older version is better, I returned the easystore to BB.
