Yes it is MacOS compatible. It is delivered formatted in NTFS, which a Mac can read, but not write. Use the Mac Disk Utility to format to a Mac specific format. I used "Mac OS Extended (Journalled)" The Disk Utility is in Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility. If you need to use the disk on both MacOS and Windows, leave it as NTFS and buy an NTFS Mac utility that can read and write NTFS. I use "Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software"

yep, i just bought 5 of them for the mac pro, reformatted from the windows system that it comes with using the mac disk utility that comes on every mac they work GREAT with mac
