PS3 only support MBR partition hard drive. MBR has a maximum 2TB limit. GPT partition is use for high disk space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work if you format it with the ps3 which uses fat32 formatting. This WD hard drive comes formatted with NTFS formating which will allow you to have files larger than 4gb in size.which PCs and Windows 10 will see and use.But the ps3 will not see anything over 4 GB in size. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.PS4 uses a different OS version than the PS3, note that's why there is no backward compatibility with the games. You would have to reformat to work for PS3, if you willing to erase all the data on the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plug in to PC, format, use in other system..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Perhaps if you would format it on PS3 it would work on PS4 as well... you might not have the same storage size due to previous lower bit architecture formatting methods
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends which PS3 you have, some of them didn’t have USB 3.0 which is what this drive uses.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to format it using Windows. On my computer right click and click format. Change it to exFAT and it should work on anything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because PlayStation 3 can't handle PlayStation 4. You did it backwards. Format it for PlayStation 3.
