QuestionI disconnected my WE Element from my computer, I do believe I used the Safe to Remove device. I plugged it into a TV a Roku TV for a backup device (temporarily). When I went to use it again on my computer, the WD does not connect? what did I do?

- Answer XP should be no problem. Format the drive FAT or FAT32 and it will work with DOS on up. I'm using one on WIN 10 and MAC OSX.

- Answer You must use your PC to format the WD drive FAT or FAT32 and it works fine on both!

QuestionI've just purchased this external hard drive. When connected to my computer (Windows XP), it recognized it & stated it was successfully connected. It is on my Disk Manager. However when I go to My Computer, it does not show up and allow me to open it.

- Answer Not sure what a v10 is but this external hard drive works with any computer, laptop or tablet that has a USB 2.0 or higher slot

QuestionHmm .. am I doing something wrong? .wont work on PS4 . "unsupported drive" when plugged in .. :(. No way to format either ... Xbox one ..works like a champ ..... FYI I plugged them into PS4 fresh from box first , neither worked .......

- Answer It must be plugged into the 3.0 slot on the left. Also plug it in while the system is completely shut down. Boot it up and look at the storage under settings. I believe it asks to use the device one time as extra storage, just say yes.
