A:AnswerNo, there are no leds on this one. Only issue is when I first hooked it up, because of the lack of led's I wasn't sure if it was working properly. I have the 4TB model and I don't know if any of the other models have led's or not.

I only plug it in and use it when needed. the key to not messing it up is to make sure you dismount it or shut down the computer before unplugging it from the USB. click the ^ next to your volume/network icons and choose the little USB looking Icon. safely remove hardware and eject media. choose your drive and do not unplug it until it dismounts.

Just go into iTunes on both computers with the drive attached and add the WD drive as a location iTunes looks for. Also make sure to disable iTunes automatic downloads.
