QuestionIs it a good HD to store and use images for editing with softwares like Premiere Pro?

- Answer Yes. But you may find that managing your workflow locally allows these programs to run much faster. I import to a local HD or SSD and work from there. I use the NAS for automatic backups and for project storage. With the extra two USB ports you can really manage a great amount of storage as either backup space or working / archival space.

- Answer It has 2 usb3.0 slots for expansion. I added one more hard drive via the usb slot. It expanded the 16tb to 24Tb.

QuestionWill this be back in stock or is it sold out? I'm hoping manufacturer will answer or BB rep if they know. I've researched all other External Drive Storage devices and this one seems to be by far the one that suits my needs the best. Thanks!

QuestionCan you simultaneously back up Mac & Windows PC's? do you have to partition the drive(s) to do this? I will want to set up where the backup is redundant on the drives, understanding this makes backup space 8TB. can smart TVs access to watch videos stored?

- Answer 1. I have both Mac and PC users connecting to the device, without the need to partition it separately. 2. I've not attempted to connect to the drive via a Smart TV but I would assume it would work fine if you can get it connected properly.

- Answer Yes. if you go for the 0tb or 16TB you get a more powerful adaptor but they take 110 or 240 V

QuestionI had a previous version of the 12 tb that connected to my computer via usb 3.0. The new one connects to the computer with an Ethernet cable? Is it faster than with usb 3.0?

QuestionCan you use both Ethernet USB 3.0 Ports to backup files? I was thinking of connecting USB 3.0 to one PC for faster backups but also plug it in to my Ethernet network for my other PCs to backup and share files among all of them. Also is it setup as RAID 1?

QuestionA simple question. Does the NAS include 2x Drives of 16TB each (for a 16TB RAID-1) or 2x Drives of 8TB each for the total of 16TB (2x8TB RAID-0)?

- Answer The SPECS say "Key Specs Hard Drive Capacity 16000 gigabytes" but that is false. The EX2 Ultra 16TB 2-Bay can only contain 8TB drives. Senseless to have to ask the question. The SPECS and OVERVIEW should explicitly state this.

- Answer There are 2 x 8 TB drives included. Its "personal cloud" not "cloud." Note that in order to configure as RAID (to protect against failure) you'll only get 8TB of storage, since the data is duplicated across the drives. You can get 16 TB if you don't want RAID protection.
