• 2TB initially in RAID1 (mirror ), physically there 2 HDDs by 2TB each.

• 4TB is the total storage capacity of the 2 hard drives combined. It has two, 2 TB drives installed. Meaning if you configure it with RAID 0 you will have 4TB of space available to you. If you configure with RAID1, you will have 2TB of storage space with the drives mirrored.

• This depends on you configuration. By default it is a 2+2TB, thus the name MyCloudMirror. But you can change it in the dashboard I believe to act as a single 4TB drive.

• 2TB + 2TB Mirror, all WD's are described as Max drive space since you can just use it as one large file system without protection of the RAID mirror.

• It has two 2tb drives in the chassis, for a total of 4tb. These are WD Red drives, by the way, which are awesome!

• none of the above answers answer the initial question. One answer contradicts another answer. So this is a confusing issue that I wish I could figure out. So what does "mirror" mean? does that mean an auto-backup of the 1st 2TB drive? or are there two separate 2TB drives with ability to write/edit files onto both while maybe is there a backup/mirror within each 2TB writable drive??
