I'm going to assume you mean the WD Easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive, since it is so similar to the My Passport series. Other than slight differences in the physical dimensions of the drive, the major difference between them is that the My Passport 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive offers 256-bit AES Data Encryption and password protection with included WD Security software. The Easystore model does not.

• A:Answer Depends on how you set it up. You can set it up so that when it's attached to a particular computer, it automatically recognizes it and allows it to be accessed without a password. But if you attach it to a foreign computer, you will need to enter a password to access it. You can put in a password reminder as well.

• A:Answer I am not certain what you are asking. An adapter for different USB connections, or the cable. It does come with a USB 3.0 A to Micro B Cable (USB 3.0A is to your computer and Micro B is to the drive). Interesting thing is that this is the same cable on my Nikon D850, which is convenient because I can interchange the use of the cables.
