I usually connect both the iphone and the passport to another computer. Any computer with two USB ports should wirk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you'll have to do this for a computer. The firmware on the hard drive is not built for iPhone connection. You may be able to change the File System on the drive to be abel to connect, though, I'm not sure.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To transfer your pictures from your Iphone to your passport, you should follow the steps below: 1. Connect your passport to an USB drive of your computer 2.Use your computer to get into your Icloud storage. Usually the pictures in your Iphone are stored in your Icloud. 3.Open the pictures folder in your Icloud and choose the picture you want to download (one at a time). The downloaded picture will be stored in your computer Dowload folder. 4.Open a new window for your passport , using the My Computer icon. 5, Now you have two window on your computer: One is your Download folder, the other is your Passport. 6.Put your mouse pointer on the picture that you've just downloaded in the Download folder the right click it. Use the option Cut (or copy, up to you) and left click on it. Now your picture is ready to be moved or to be copied. 7. Open your Passport window. Right click your mouse. Choose option Paste and your picture will be store in your passport. Hope it help. Good luck
