Windows and Mac OS use different formats for writing to a HDD. you can: A. Buy a Mac specific HDD B. Buy this HDD and re-format it to work with Mac OS (Google is your friend) C. Buy a third party driver, such as Paragon, so that your Mac can read & write to an NTFS drive like this one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are formatted for Windows (NTFS), if you want to use with a MAC is needs to be reformatted into HFS+ so the Mac operating system can read it. You could choose FAT32 which either windows or mac can read, however you will be limited to max 4GB files (each file).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very easy.reformatting ) preps the hd to read mac language versus windows
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It means that you will have to reformat the drive before you can fully use it with your Mac. The hard drive comes pre-formatted using the NTFS file system which works with Windows. You will need to reformat the hard drive (completely erase it) either using the exFAT or HFS+ file systems in order to fully use it with your Mac. You can do this through the Disk Utility on your Mac. You can Google "reformat external hard drive Mac" and there are quite a few visual guides that will pop up.
