I would check out the Western Digital site. Usually they have information to help you select the best fit and determine the appropriate size for your application. They do make a drive, I think it may be their purple version, that mentions use for camera recording and I believe it is 7200RPM instead of 5400RPM.

The capacity should work fine, but it always depends on how long you record (permanent or when motion detects) and the resolution you choose.
