Just purchased an eero and have had the same issue with our existing Wemo minis. In the eero app go to settings > troubleshooting > my device won’t connect > my device is 2.4 GHz only > temporarily pause 5 GHz. Turn off your phones with connection and reconnect. Now try to set up the Wemo plugs using the factory reset option on them. They’ll work perfectly to connect and the 5GHz will restart in 15 minutes and your Wemos will stay connected to the eero at this point. Kind of a pain but it works!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. The Wemo WiFi Smart Outdoor Plug only connects to the 2.4GHz band just like the Wemo Mini. Get in touch with us at [email protected] instead, so our Escalation Engineers can help you connect the Wemo Mini to your network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Another option is to type in your SSID and password manually under other when the Wemo app asks for the Wifi network. That works for Eero mesh wifi when temporarily disabling the 5ghz did not for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Google WIFI MESH and it works perfectly on 2.4 gHz for this outdoor plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Techhive review says it is a 2.4GHz product. So you may have same issue. We have Apple dual ac band, not mesh, and it works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the WEMO outdoor plug and all my indoor WEMO plugs connected to my Netgear Nighthawk mesh system and it works perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Like all Wemo products I have used, it requires a 2.4ghz connection. I have a separate network that only operates at 2.4 specifically for smart home technology.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an Eero mesh system and have had no issues connecting 2.4 and 5 Ghz devices. Perhaps there is a setting that prefers 5 ghz or tries to connect first with 5 ghz? There is on the Eero. Switching that off might help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I connected the Wemo Outdoor smart outlet to a Linksys Velop mesh system that uses the same SSID for the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, and I have not noticed any issues with this or any of my other smart devices. It's true some devices only work on the 2.4 GHz band, but it shouldn't matter if the SSID is the same for both bands as the smart plug will only "see" the 2.4 GHz version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Seems very strange that you're having issues with connecting to the 2.4 GHz band, the plug should only see the band it can use and connect. I am running a Linksys MX10 Velop mesh router system and have had no problems connecting this or my other Wemo plug (Wemo Insight). It might be a good idea to try WPS to connect to the plugs or reach out directly to Belkin/Wemo for further assistance, they're great help if issues arise! After its set up to your network, it is incredibly easy to use!
