I did purchase the BEST BUY extended warranty, however since mine is failing in the first year - and also since when I started having the problem BEST BUY wasn't selling it - I started my warranty claim directly with Westinghouse. They did suggest at first that I make an exchange at a nearby Best Buy store -which is when I looked up to see that there were none on the Best Buy Website. The process with the manufacturer will require that you take photos of the whole TV from front and back, the front should be a picture of it in operation, and also a picture close up of the serial number, plus a copy of your receipt. I'm at the stage now where Westinghouse wants me to take the TV to some kind of special Electronic Disposal Center where I can get certification that it's going to be destroyed.
