I would say you can't use the old trim kit. I replaced my 27" WMC30516 with a 27" WMCS7022RZ, and was hoping to use the old trim kit. It didn't fit, so I installed the Maytag 27" trim kit that I bought as a back-up plan for $124.99 on Best Buy. I see you can still get the 30" trim kit for the same price on Best Buy. Maytag model no. MTK2230PV.
