When you open the door, my food codes are right on the bottom edge. I would send a pic but it won't let me. Cooking guide: Popcorn 3.0,3.5 oz Potato 1,2,3,4 potatoes Pizza reheat 1,2,3 slices Cook: 1 frozen entree 10,20,40,60 oz 2 bacon 1,2,3,4,5,6 slices 3 canned vegetables 1,2,3,4 cups 4 fresh vegetables 1,2,3,4 cups 5 frozen vegetables 1,2,3,4 cups 6 rice .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 cups Reheat: 1 beverage 1,2 cups 2 casserole 1,2,3,4 cups 3 dinner plate 1 plate 4 soup/sauce 1,2,3,4 cups 5 baked goods 1,2,3,4,5,6 pieces Soften/melt: Soften: 1 butter/margarine .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 sticks 2 ice cream 16, 32, 64 oz 3 cream cheese 3, 8 oz 4 frozen juice 12, 16 oz Melt: 5 butter/margarine .5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 sticks 6 chocolate 4,6,8,12 oz 7 cheese 8, 16 oz 8 marshmallows 5, 10 oz. Defrost: 1 meat .2 to 6.6 lbs 2 poultry .2 to 6.6 lbs 3 fish .2 to 4.4 lbs I have found this cooking guide to be pretty accurate. Ex. If you want to cook bacon just hit the COOK button. It will ask for the number, which is 2, then it will ask for the quantity, say 3 slices, then hit start. Or you want to Melt marshmallows hit the SOFTEN/MELT button. Hit 8 then hit your oz then start and it does it's thing. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree, whoever wrote the joke of a manual As you open the door they give you setting but not how to use them and how to use the codes. I believe it was done to save money. The stove I bought from Best buy at the same time as micro , 'A whirlpool as is also no help.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.when you open the door there is a label on the framing edge of the microwave itself. I think this might be what you are looking for. For instance; when you want to defrost the label says "1 is for Meat, 2 is for Chicken and 3 is for fish". You just keep pushing the defrost button to alternate between 1-2 and 3. Different than the normal minutes and seconds but so far this numbering thing has been spot on. As long as this the label holds up we are all good. Hope it helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am sorry for the confusion. The codes are along the door frame, the part the door rests on when it is closed. Up up the door, and look along the top of the frame. You will see a clear tag with numbers and foods on that tag. I hope this helped.
