QuestionHow do you open the door? There's no handle and I don't see a button to do so.

- Answer Think of it as an interior handle. It's a gap where you can grip and open without any trouble. The biggest issue for me though is the vent in the back and that doesn't work as well no matter the cfm level. I use my stove a lot especially those power burners.

- Answer Steam or Simmer is a sensor cooking function that use microwaves to steam or simmer food. Use microwave-safe container with a loose-fitting lid. - Answer Hello Larae, the depth with door open 90 Degree(IN,inches) 44 5/16. The depth with the door closed is 16 1/8". The door swing direction is to the left. We hope this helps.

QuestionPlease confirm that this model WMH54521HS is built such that it can vent externally through the top. I've seen some conflicting info that it is just recirculating. Given home ducting thru the roof, nothing additional is req'd for this model, correct?

- Answer Hi! Yes, there is a recessed handle at the right side to open the microwave. It’s very easy to open and close. It doesn’t need to pushing any buttons to open.

- Answer Hi Linda, since this unit is an Over the Range Hood as well as a Microwave, it will need to be installed over a cooktop or range. That being said, if you are looking to completely "house" a Microwave including the underside, for a built in look, we suggest going with one of our countertop Microwave models with a trim kit.
