QuestionI just purchased this microwave, but I am old and grew up with "NO METAL inside the microwave". While I understand to remove the racks when using normal operation, but the clips for the rack use metal screws. Do I need to remove those clips to use it?

- Answer Hey Bill 47 - Look at the control panel. Just below the keypad numbers you will see a triangle inside a box. That is the start button. To add 30 seconds to the cook time press the "+30 SEC" symbol.

- Answer i believe the interior is a textured aluminum-like metal; it doesn't appear to be a stainless steel interior. it does clean very easily!

- Answer Hi Bwags, unfortunately, this Whirlpool - 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking does not have flat bottom. Turntable may be turned off for manual cooking only. This is helpful when cooking with plates that are bigger than the turntable, or when cooking with plates that are side by side. Turntable cannot be turned off during preset or sensor (on some models) functions.

- Answer Hi Willy, the Whirlpool® 2.1 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Steam cooking is .1 cubic feet larger and has design differences between the older unit and the new unit. It does have a new CleanRelease non-stick interior as well. Thank you for your question!

- Answer There is a filter on the bottom of the unit. It slides out. I usually just wash mine in the dish washer and then air dry it for reuse.

This is helpful when cooking with plates that are bigger than the turntable, or when cooking with plates that are side by side.
