• The coil fills with filtered water and it is chilled by the inside cod temp of the fridge thus creating chilled water on demand. Runs out quickly if you want large quantities of chilled water. Hope this helps

• Keith, the plastic tubing is the water resevoir tubing for your ice/water dispenser.

• Supposed to chill the water for the dispenser but it doesn't work. Mine comes out tap water temp and i've had three "techs"come out and look at it. Whilpool won't help. and Best Buy and Geek Squad can't touch it for a year but I don't blieve there's any way for this thing to put out the 50 degree water they say it does. People should stay away from these refrigerators , in my opinion.

• since i used reverse osmosis purifier on my fridge it would be nice if the used hd tubing so my water and ice would not taste like plastic
