Q: QuestionHow do I remove the ice maker to defrost? The ice partly melted and then refroze so is now one big block. Turned it off. Can't seem to remove it though.

• A:Answer Depends on where and what is frozen to what. Ours did initially due to my own error and I was able to remove the storage tray then melt and clear out the semi-frozen ice mass. If yours is partly frozen to the actual ice tray in the ice maker, you might speed things with a hair dryer?

Q: QuestionCan I shut off the freezer but keep refrigerator running? My hose to icemaker got kinked. After straightening it out it still won't make ice. I figure the water line froze and needs to be thawed. Any ideas?

• A:Answer It's strange, but the doors stick up about and Inch and I/2 higher that the housing. I don't know why they did that. I've had two whirlpool dishwashers that have been great. I only replace the old one because I wanted Stainless. I do not run the heated drying because I heard that it's what causes a dishwasher to break down. It must be true because I've had Whirlpool dish washers for close to 20 years without ever a breakdown.

Q: QuestionWe have this one in a mobile home we just bought. Rocks when we open it. Previous owner said it did that when new. When one the bottom drawers are pulled out, the shelf slides out too. Have to hold shelf in place and pull the drawer out. Why???

Q: QuestionOur refrigerator is located across from the sink in our kitchen. Is it possible to somehow get a water line where there isn't one? I'm seriously considering buying this model.

• A:Answer Your sink has nothing to do with your fridge. If you purchase a fridge with an ice maker,water, you MUST BUY A SPECIAL WATER LINE KIT TO INSTALL. These kits are stainless steel, and have a shut off valve to control water. You will need a plumber to install on your 1/2 water pipes, unless you are handy. Some dealers will install if you buy from them, but you really need the (built in kit). There are no short cuts, I have over 30 years experience. I hope this helps you, this is a case of, do it correct, or you will have problems, do not skimp. "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". The proper kits are less than $30, and worth every penny. Once installed correctly, it will last over 20 years, I know, my kit is nearing 40 years, second fridge. Wish you luck on your decision. Try and purchase a name brand kit for your water, do not skimp, to save 5 bucks.

Q: QuestionHow wide are the shelves in the Ref?

• A:Answer The bad thing about this unit is it's shelves. They are not adjustable. You can barely fit a gallon of milk on the top shelf and then the dome light is in the way on one side. they should have put the dumb light on the wall in the back. I really hate that I can't adjust the shelves and also the freezer is so tiny it's almost useless. The Fridge is pretty from the outside, but the ice and water tray should have a removal tray to catch water drips and ice chips and It does not. I was told to stay away from the French Door Refrigerators because of the freezers not being user friendly, but at least I'd have a freezer. All these plastic bins in the door better not fracture and break up or I'm going to be really ticked off.
