Hello Mc10538! If trying to determine the generator wattage needed for a particular appliance, please refer to the appliance's electrical requirements. Most household appliances list electrical requirements in regard to required voltage and amperage. If you multiply the voltage and amperage requirements, this will provide a reference regarding the wattage supply needed. For example, if an appliance requires a 120 volt, 15 amp fused electrical supply, the wattage needed would be 1800. (120 volts x 15 amps = 1800 watts.)
