• Hello Jerry, The exterior status light on the front of the door panel will glow blue when washing, red while it is drying, and white when the cycle is complete. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!

• If you are referring to the tiny light, next to handle it is an indicator of status of the wash cycle with very bright white indicating end of wash

• No I don't -- I'd have to read the manual which sounds like no help. I would suggest getting in contact with Whirlpool, Best Buy would be no help.
