QuestionOur dishwasher was delivered on Saturday. When we tipped it up to put the wheels on we saw there is no bottom, you can see up into the dishwasher. Previous portables had insulation and bottom panel. Is my dishwasher missing a bottom?

QuestionI really need a 36" high unit, but this one (unlike most other portables) is 37". I'm planning to convert it (not roll it around), so could I leave the casters off? How tall is it without them?

- Answer It’s 24”Wx27”Dx37”T including the casters. They’re is no Butcher Block top. It’s a type of synthetic laminate that is not meant to be used for anything that you wouldn’t use a counter top for. I have no idea if this Dishwasher will fit your space because I don’t know the measurements of the space where you wish to place it. The dimensions are specified in the description of the item online. This Dishwasher should only be purchased by those that need to move it around and do not have a space for a built-in Dishwasher. It has to be hooked up to your kitchen faucet and the electric cord to an outlet every time you need to wash dishes. It will need to be discontinued from both the power source and water faucet after each use and rolled back to the area you have selected to store it until it’s needed again. If your needing to replace a built-in Dishwasher this is definitely not what you need. As it’s described it is a Portable Dishwasher!!

- Answer It shouldn’t! A dishwasher doesn’t work off water pressure. Once the amount of water needed for a cycle the water is then pumped through the spinners. Any pressure needed to clean the dishes is generated by the dishwasher itself.

- Answer Good question EricaI. Your dishwasher can average 2-3 hours per load, but uses nearly 40% less energy than older models. The average length of time for a normal cycle can be anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours. As your dishwasher may be equipped with sensor technology, the very first cycle may run longer to calibrate the sensor. Please keep in mind that selected options add time to the cycle. Also, cooler water temperatures cause the dishwasher to run longer while heating the water. You can try running the nearest hot water faucet until it gets hot just before starting the dishwasher. Also, be sure the water heater in the home is set to 120 degrees F for best performance.

QuestionI’ve had this dishwasher for about a year and a half and it has stopped draining during wash. I believe the pump isn’t working. How do I go about fixing this?

- Answer I suggest you first check the filter to make sure it’s not clogged. Unlike some models of dishwashers this one does not have a larger food particle cutter which chops up and food left on dishes. I always make sure all food is rinsed off before I place the dish in the dishwasher. If the filter-drain is clear then I suggest you call Best Buy and schedule a service appointment.
