“Does this dishwasher heat it’s own water? Or do you need to run the water till it’s hot before I start the dishwasher?”

• Yes it heats its own water with a coil. So far has done well cleaning without prewashing dishes. Good detergent like Finish tabs is a big factor too according to Consumer Reports. If it didn't then I would get the water hot 1st at the tap but haven't had to do that.
