The silverware basket is attached to the door and can be removed for unloading.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The bin can be on the door or in the rack
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The silverware rack is attached to the door and at first it seemed like a good idea. HOWEVER half of the slots are under the soap dispenser and you can't put knives or anything long in them. All of the slots are very narrow and most of them won't accept a knife. Additionally it doesn't hold very much. Fortunately we still had our old dishwasher and were able to adapt the old silverware baskets.

Here it is mentioned that, yes the silverware basket does attach to the door, or anywhere in the bottom rack. Please see second photo posted for a visual of silverware rack in the door. Thank you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It attaches to the door. Can be kinda tricky to get longer silverware into the rack, but it is out of the regular dishrack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Low profile and attached to door but removable for easy access. The design lends itself to plenty of space for both silverware and dishes
