QuestionI purchased a Whirlpool Micro to replace a 10 year old GE micro. I installed the new exactly where the old was, with the trim kit you said I needed. The new mirco vents downward onto my oven and makes the oven control panel fault. Never happened before.

QuestionIs this trim made of plastic with stainless steel color....or its its actual stainless steel?

- Answer There is a very thin metal face, the rest is plastic and no metal on the exposed edges. I can't determine which metal the face is for sure but I think its aluminium with faux ss finish. Had to make major modifications to get to fit and look right. Would not recommend.
