- Answer You can completely remove the 3 pieces, they are heavy enough to stay in their place without any movement whatsoever as they are not on hinges or anything else, this particular product is on display at many bestbuy stores

Questioni now have a downdraft vent. now using lp gas hookup. Is this compatible. will venting down be a problem

- Answer We did have a downdraft cooktop before upgrading with this one and we haven't bought or install the new downdraft that it's compatible with this new cooktop yet, we wanted to try without a downdraft for a couple of weeks to see if it's really necessary or not to spend around $1300 for the downdraft. But so far, after a week of cooking, everything is going well.
  I would recommend:
  - Viking - 36 inches - Convertible - Downdraft Range Hood - Stainless steel
