I often accidentally hit the knobs when around the stove. I’m pretty careful about checking they are off. Recently a friend stayed over and accidentally did the same thing but didn’t notice the gas was on - the knob turned just enough to let gas out but not for ignition. They went to bed and when I came home an hour or so later the house was filled with gas. A lock on the knobs would be a very good safety feature.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, they do not lock. But I will say they are not "loose" in that leaning over the knobs to reach above the stove does not activate them, i.e., turn them enough to start the flow of gas.
