QuestionIt looks like the cooking grates extend to the sides of the cook top. Would this cause a safety hazard involving the countertop when they become heated?

We can certainly understand your concerns regarding the grates, but to date, product testing and none of our consumers have reported an issue with the heat distributing out towards the counter tops. - Answer Yes you are able to use a griddle for this appliance. A griddle does not come with this range. It can be purchased separately. The part number for the griddle needed is 4396096RB.

- Answer There is an ignition spark that lights the burners and the stove. This works on electric connections like the lights and control system. So yes you need power and gas to use the stove.

QuestionDoes anyone know how hot the glass window and handle get when this thanks on around 475? We have an infant who burned their hand on the "WFG505M0BS" model by simple touching her hand to the glass for a few seconds, so we need to replace it.

- Answer It depends on what you consider 'better.' I noticed the Stainless models were less than the painted models (after a discount), but that is not better for me as nothing else in my kitchen is stainless. I look at 'all specs' to determine which features are best for me. I suspect the quality of all the models, within a brand's parameter, would be similar. Some features would typically increase the price: additional burners, sealed burners, higher Btu burners, WiFi, convection, AirFry, etc.

- Answer Speedheat is the burner with high Btu rating. This unit has 2 burners that are rated at 15,000 Btu and a simmer (5000 Btu). These are the max rating as they can be turned lower.
