QuestionThe spec's say this oven is 36 inches tall. I find that hard to believe since the specs for the regular electric range that looks about the same says it is 47.876 inches high. At 36 inches high the cooktop would not be cabinet height.

QuestionWhy does temp change in over it goes from say 350 to 295 and then heats back up to 350 we have to keep adjusting temp while baking cookies So what is the problem?and can it be fixed??

- Answer Mine has the exact same issue. I set temp to 350. The temp reading rises steadily. I click to change the set temp to 345. The temp suddenly jumps from 350 to 300 or some similar, lower temp. I tested the temperature sensor with a multimeter and it seems to in normal spec--right at 1090 Ohms at room temperature. That essentially leaves the bake element or the controller board. I've also noticed that the oven has a very difficult time reaching 450 or higher. So I'm hoping it's just the bake element, although I can't find any manuals or information on how to get to the element to inspect it (there doesn't seem to be a removable bottom panel to access the lower element as in many other overs).

Questionour range was installed last Saturday 12/19. We used the oven for the first time on 350. The left side panel and left top of the stove are hot enough to burn our hand? I expect some warmth, but the side panel feels like 350??

- Answer Our new stove, after you mentioned this, does the same. I noted though that the right front side of the stove, when the oven is on, is nowhere as hot, but slightly warm. I'm gong to send and E-mail to Whirlpool on as to why, and if this is Normal.

QuestionWhen I start baking and select 500F, after some time (around 30 min), the baking stops, and the broil start working automatically which burns the food. Why is that happening and how can I keep the baking working for few hours continuously?

- Answer After reading the information when we bought the stove, I replaced a couple of my pots made of materials that might cause discoloration. You might check to make sure that wasn't the problem. Have you used the glasstop cleaner and soft scrubber? So far all of my spots have come off easily.
