A:Answer The bottom level (below the lowest rack) is perhaps the best place to store Champagne bottles in this unit. I've stored standard Champagne bottles there and It looks like there may actually be enough vertical clearance for fatter bottles such as Krug, etc. You could also place std Champ bottles on the very top rack but there the bottle makes contact with the top of of the fridge which makes for a non-smooth rack travel. See photos. Generally satisfied with the unit. Purchased two months ago. It is solid and well made, however, noise will be an issue if you're installing near bedrooms or other areas where silence is important. Temperature performance is fine but keep in mind I'm using the unit to avoid heat damage and not as a fridge.
