- Answer Hi Terry, Prior to purchasing this Whirlpool washer (WFW72HED - Duet 4.2 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle High Efficiency Front-Loading Washer), I researched water-efficient washing machines. This washer is rated CEE Tier 2 (as of July 2015). CEE revised their list/ratings monthly; you can find them, here: http://library.cee1.org/content/qualifying-product-lists-residential-clothes-washers Hope that this helps you!

- Answer You can use either just needs to be HE detergent. I use liquid more than pods.

QuestionHow long does it take to wash a regular load and does it come with a fabric softener deposit?I bought a HE "up" load washer and it takes easily an hour with a regular load. It doesn't have a fabric softener deposit so I have to literally be at its side to not miss a cycle. It is a good washer, but I need one that it's fast an has fabric softener deposit or an alarm so it tells you (my house is big) when to add fabric softener.

- Answer Imelda, these washers can run longer than your previous washer, but as they use less water they can run for a longer amount of time and still use less energy. This washer has the Precision Dispense system. You can put in detergent, softener, and bleach in as necessary per load and do not have to wait to add the softener. It will be in the dispenser area, separate from the detergent.

- Answer E1/F9 means it's clogged and can't drain (needs a new drain pump) or the computer board is faulty.These machines suck if this happens because your machine locks and you can't retrieve your laundry so you ether buy a new one or pay for repairs that cost more then a new one. If you still have one just replace it,ours lasted 9 years with no lots of issues.

QuestionAfter I put in the tide and fabric softener it runs down the door on the inside. Puddles in the rubber seal inside the door. Sometimes it leaks a little down the front of the door. Is there a special way to clean it? Not sure what the problem is.

- Answer To turn off the signal that sounds at the end of a load, press and hold the Cycle Signal button on the control panel for three seconds. Repeat this action to turn the signal back on.
