A:Answer Most electric humidors will do this. They default to coldest temperature. In South Florida, we lose power from 1 second to 10 minutes almost every time it rains. To remedy this, simply buy a cheap battery backup ups. When you lose power, the battery kicks in and temperature remains same. When power is restored, the humidor will go back to operating on your ac power. I think my battery ups is rated for 450va and it keeps the humy running on battery power for a good 30 minutes until power comes back on. It works like a charm. Good luck.
