QuestionI see no evidence of the drain pump EVER putting out any water. Is this because the unit is so efficient with evaporation? If I unplug the manual drains, I get a little water.

- Answer I think it depends on the humidity. I first installed mine in early spring and saw very little water come out of it for a few months. Lately it's been extremely humid in my area and I ended up installing a hose off the main drain port into a bucket. Over the last two weeks, I've had to dump that bucket at least once per day and it holds a gallon. It has been averaging 50 to 70% humidity in my area during that time

- Answer The included window kit is designed to fit most standard vertically or horizontally sliding windows and measures, 6.5" W x 20" L (minimum), 46" (maximum).
  
  Since windows come in different sizes, some customization may be needed when installing the accessories. If the included solid window kit slide bar panels do not completely cover your window or door opening, most customers purchase an additional window kit and use both sets. Alternately, a customized longer solid slide bar panel can be made by cutting Plexiglas or PVC plastic to size to be used with the panel with the hose cut outs of the original window kit.

QuestionCan I use 6" PVC piping for input and output, so I don't have the accordion hose? It will be put in a location and it is not to be moved.

- Answer Should work fine . May have to use some duck tape since 6” pvc may not connect directly with the fittings provided. The intake is about 6” and the exhaust is about 5” I was going to do that also but did not try yet.

- Answer The exhaust hose extends up to 60″. We recommend at least 20" of clearance at the back.
