QuestionI just bought this dehumidifier and I’m setting it up, but it does not look like it is app-controlled as the description says. That is the ONLY reason I bought this. Am I missing something in the instructions?!?

- Answer This item can remove 50 pint (24 liter) in a 24 hour period with an 18 pint (8.5 liter) capacity removable water bucket. Questioncan this be used in a crawl space? if you have a hose attached to the pump, do you need to empty? i just want to set up one and not have to bother with it. how often does the filter need to be cleaned? is there a filter that needs to be replaced?

- Answer Yes, you can use it in a crawl space, but it should be placed where you can access the controls. You can use a manual drain, gravity drain, or condensate pump. The filter is a mesh and can be removed and cleaned with mild soap and water before replacing it. Clean it at least once every 2 weeks, and at the end of each season of use.

QuestionDoes the unit allow for setting the desired humidity and then automatically starting and stopping to maintain that setting?

- Answer Yes it does, set up you desired humidity level in increments of 5 starting with 30%. It will maintain that percentage shut off and on. Hope that helps

- Answer I am not an electrician nor a mechanic. Do not have any time to research or learn about this. All I know is that it works great in a huge theatre space and we change and throw out the water once a day. space is about 4O ft by 42 feet. open space two former garages renovated. So I would say it 's great but otherwise I am the wrong person to answer this type of question.
