A:Answer I was worried about the same issue when I bought the Ring Doorbell for my elderly mother for Christmas, so I paid Best Buy to have the Geek Squad install it.
When it came time to install, my mother waited through the 4-hour window to have the technicians show up, only to be disappointed when they did not. They rescheduled another appointment for which she waited, agai , only to have Geek Squad fail to show, again.
After many hours on the telephone, the answer I got was the Geek Squad is "not allowed" to install in our area.
I am a Platinum Plus customer, and I spend many thousands of dollars with Best Buy each year. I spent $600 on this Christmas gift for my Mother's safety many weeks in advance of Christmas, and once again I was dissatisfied with Best Buy.
Honestly, ive. Had much better luck with h h Gregg on this sort of thing, and I've decided Best Buy cannot deliver the services and prices they promise.
