“Does the fan have any sound suppressing qualities or is it loud?”

It is not loud nor has it gotten louder since I purchased it and it definitely needs a good cleaning as I have 2 cats and a small dog. I would say if you are wanting something that HAS a good bit of noise to it, you may want to get another one or invest in a small sound machine. I personally need fan noise in addition to needing to actually FEEL the force of the fan! But honestly, I wouldn’t give this little guy up for NOTHING! Even if he made NO noise! It doesn’t bother me at home because we have other fans and noises. I will say it’s difficult when we travel because it is so quiet. Hope that helps
