  • QuestionCan I use this device without home wifi and just run it using the app on my phone after downloading it so that I can control camara?

    • Answer Hi there! Yes, you can use the app as long as you have internet connection from your phone. It's not required to use your home WiFi for you to able to access the camera. Our products will require a 2.4GHz WiFi network signal in order to setup and communicate with the Wyze app. The cameras are primarily meant to work with an internet connection.   • QuestionI am looking to put 4-5 cameras around the house to watch after a disabled family member while I am not at home/traveling. How difficult is it to monitor and set up multi cameras. Will I be able monitor each camera and if so how.

You just need the Wyze app to view the camera individually or group it so that you can view all 4 cameras at the same time.   • QuestionI need a camera I can leave on when I leave the apartment and will record when there is motion because someone has been entering when I am not there. Then I will review the footage later if it signals that any motion has been detected and recorded.

Using a microSD card with your camera gives you the ability to record continuous footage and recorded events directly to your local microSD card. We also have Cam Plus, which is an upgrade for Wyze Cam devices that adds Person Detection to your Complete Motion Capture videos. With this service, you'll be able to record full-length videos, receive real-time alerts when people are detected, and filter all of your video clips with people in them.     • Answer Hi there! Depending on the type of mount, your Wyze Cam Pan can be safely mounted anywhere: ceilings, walls, desktops, and more. Follow the instructions in the Wyze Cam Pan Mounting Kit to mount your new Wyze Cam Pan. Wyze Cam Pan can be mounted upside down. To flip the display of your live stream, enter the Advanced Settings for your camera and toggle Rotate Image 180° on/off. Wyze Cam Pan can be mounted sideways, but there is no 90° rotation setting.   • QuestionDoes this camera have rtsp firmware available?

    • Answer It's sad when the manufacturer doesn't even answer the question right. The Pan v2 does NOT support the RTSP firmware as of 2/27/2022. The linked article even explictly states it does not work with the Pan v2. It only works with the Cam v2, Cam v3, and the Cam Pan (i.e. the first generation Pan). This item is the Cam Pan v2.

  • QuestionAny plans to develop an outdoor version of the Pan Cam? I really like my Wyze outdoor, I use it to keep an eye on my chickens and being able to Pan & track them around the yard would be great.

    • Answer I hope they do I know that it definitely holds up outside I have mine outside it's been outside for almost a year now and I've had no problems with it it's been great I'm pretty sure if it started raining really hard I might take it in or just put a small shelter over the top of it'll be fine mine's been great for the whole year outside even in the rain so maybe wouldn't recommend it but worked out fine for me maybe just get like a build a small birdhouse for it or something it's great

    • Answer You may want to look into the outdoor cam. That one has a wireless base that you could keep inside your apartment. The other WyzeCam 3 would have a wire you would need to run from an outlet to the camera. Depending on what your property manager allows, you could attach it directly to the wall or use a double sided tape.

You'll also be able to record Time Lapse videos. When the microSD card is full, it will overwrite the oldest footage and roll forward.
