It's the same as the black edition, it's a best buy edition sku. If you look at the 5700 xt (which I owned before the RX-78TMERCBR at the xfxforce.com website. There is a best buy version that also ends in "R".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So many incorrect or misleading answers here. I purchased this card. From what i read from the 7900XT Best Buy vs retail reddit inquiry, this is likely the same scenario where the Best Buy model is EXACTLY the same spec wise as the "-B9" model except it's a BB exclusive to prevent price matching. My card has exactly the same cooling and design as the other model. My card boost is the same at 2565mhz as the Merc Black, nothing gimped with "lower clocks". My card has 256bit bus, not the totally incorrect "232" bus as claimed by anonymous. no gimped lighting, it lights up with white XFX. You can see from screenshot between B9 from TPU and my BR with gpu-z, it's the SAME. I hope this clears up so many incorrect replies.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure, but XFX doesn't list any model number ending in "R". https://www.xfxforce.com/gpu/amd-radeon-rx-7000
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From an AMD forum post it says "Hi, you can check it directly on the XFX website: https://www.xfxforce.com/gpu/amd-radeon-rx-7000 In short: The B9 is the "Black Edition", the U9 is the the regular Merc. The former boasts slightly higher core clocks by default - 2220 MHz / 2560 MHz vs. 2175 MHz / 2535 MHz. In reality there shouldn't be any actual performance differences, as you should be able to manually clock the standard Merc to Black Edition levels fairly easily. Of course if both cards are in stock and are being sold for the very same price, there is no reason not to get the Black Edition."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the cooling system is a little different
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the only difference is that the XFX logo is lit up on the “MERC”. Others May know more. It’s a really long card. Make sure it fits your case and I suggest a GPU support on the far end.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The MERCBR has aGDDR 6 256 bit bus vs the 232 bit bus in the B9.
