QuestionI'm having the worst time trying to connect my wx-10 speakers to my Aventage Rx-770.. I can't find anything in my owners manual on how to connect to the receiver. I have the speakers connected to my phone through the MusicCast contr. app but that's it

QuestionDo you have to leave this plugged in all the time or does it charge and you can unplug?

- Answer Yes, plugged in all the time to powered via 110 AC (plug directly into a wall outlet). It does not contain a battery, thus no chargeable feature. It does work great and have a nice sound making use of Yamaha MUSICCAST, works nicely with Bluetooth and Airplay. It has a nice sound for this type product and it was fairly easily setup.

QuestionI have a Yamaha srt-1500 Sound Base. Question -- Can I hook two wx-010's to my unit (thru MusicCast wi-fi, not Bluetooth) and have the soundbase control the volume of the wx-010's? I don't want to have to use the app to control volume of the wx-010 's.

- Answer Yes, you can use the Yamaha SRT 1500 sound base but the speakers cannot be used as a surround sound pair as they don't sync.

QuestionI can't seem to get my Yamaha WX 010 speaker to turn off. When I press the power button, the power goes off of about 30 secs then it comes back on. I've tried pressing for different lengths of time and occasionally it works, but rarely. ??

QuestionI have a pre-Musiccast receiver that uses the AV CONTROLLER app and accesses my NAS and internet radio. I would operate these speakers wholly independently, but still be able to access my music sources via wifi? No receiver needed?

- Answer I have this speaker in my study, and an Aventage RX-A3050 receiver, which does have Musiccast, in my family room. The Musiccast app is separate from the AV Controller app. You will be able to use the Musiccast app to access your NAS (called Server in the app) and Internet sources for this speaker. You cannot however do whole-house music by synchronizing the speaker with your receiver, because your receiver doesn't have that capability. That's the only drawback. Otherwise, with your current receiver you would have a fine, independent, 2-zone music installation that could play two different music sources simultaneously.

- Answer Yamaha says mid-December it will have an Alexa skill. Right now you can Bluetooth connect it to play music.

QuestionI purchased 2 of these from BestBuy and set them up in stereo mode. When I play music to them from my iPhone the stereo goes out of sync after a few minutes and the only fix is to stop the music and restart it. Anybody else run into this? Solution? Thanks

- Answer I have not, but I'm not using Bluetooth, it sounds like you might be. If you stream off the internet, the speakers handle the interaction and I've had virtually perfect results now for over a year. We have these run into seven zones and I have never heard a synch issue.
