“What is the name of the app associated with this? When I look for yummly all I get is a recipe search app.”

YUMMLY APP is what to look for and install ... the use of the thermometer is accessed within the RECIPE app ... but you might have to update the app to the latest version (late June 2020) in order to access it. Contrary to the description in the small black pamphlet that comes with the device, there is no "activate". It's an "add device". Have the dock and thermometer near you when setting up via your phone, but remove the thermometer from the dock. After pairing your phone with the dock, the rest takes care of itself!

Both the thermometer control and recipes can be found within the same app. If you go through the included setup instructions, you will be directed to the place in the app to do the setup and pairing. It should be easy peasy. Also, the Yummly app is free to install on both Android and iOS. Disclosure: I am an employee of Yummly
