QuestionDoes this thermometer indicate how long it will be before the meat is done like the Meatr thermometer? Trying to decide between. This one has a larger range than meatr unless you get the plus model and use a device to increase range.

- Answer Yes, the app calculates cook time remaining and projects the clock time at which you'll want to remove the meat. It adjusts those calculations as you go along so you're getting revised estimates as cooking conditions vary,

- Answer Yummly Smart Thermometer works at a range of up to 150 feet. The probe connects to the dock (to be kept close to the probe) and then the dock connects to the Yummly app on your phone. Distances can vary depending on cooking techniques, home layouts and other obstructions. –Yummly

- Answer YUMMLY APP is what to look for and install ... the use of the thermometer is accessed within the RECIPE app ... but you might have to update the app to the latest version (late June 2020) in order to access it. Contrary to the description in the small black pamphlet that comes with the device, there is no "activate". It's an "add device". Have the dock and thermometer near you when setting up via your phone, but remove the thermometer from the dock. After pairing your phone with the dock, the rest takes care of itself!

QuestionHow do I change the batteries in this style thermometer?

- Answer Two AAA batteries are included, and go in the base of the thermometer housing. These batteries charge the thermometer when it is placed inside the dock.

- Answer Mine only lasted for three smoking episodes. I always charged it between uses and think I slow cooked in smoker (Weber kettle) for like 8 hours in a single cooking session. In addition to frequent interference and disconnecting issues, I was only able to use about three times before it failed to connect resulting in error of “can’t find thermometer”. Don’t waste your money on this device. I hear Meater is a better product and I intend to purchase one of those soon.

QuestionHow man sticks can you use at once with the app. Let say I’m smoking 3 different roast. Can I have three sticks in 3 different pieces of meat and be able to continuously check on them through the app?

- Answer I "Think" that since it is Bluetooth, that you can only Connect (2) per "Smart Phone" and Application.. BUT!! If you can Use Someone Else's Smart Phone, (Your Girlfriend, Wife, or your Kids,) You then, should be able to Connect (4) Yummly's.. But, I haven't done this.. Good Luck..

- Answer Yes, sort of. I use a Weber and found interference issues to where I had to set the dock on the handle of my Weber and it still occasionally disconnected. I was able to use mine maybe three times before it failed to connect and constantly got error “can’t find thermometer”. Very disappointed with this product and basically wasted $84.
