• The charger cord should have the tiny male insert on one end and the standard USB male insert on the other end. The charger unit that comes with the iPad is sufficient for charging. I use an aftermarket charger that allows me to recharge two items at the same time. Best Buy and Cable warehouse offer a selection of products.

• Our charger for an older LG cellphone fits and works fine.

• This uses a typical USB adapter that you see for many non apple smartphones. It cahrges in a couple of hours and I have not had to recharge it yet after a few weeks of light use but not turning it off when not in use.
