QuestionIs the keyboard detachable without removing the iPad from the case?

- Answer Yes it is. The keyboard is the outer case that is connected with magnets on the iPad connectors. The iPad itself is in a plastic like case, but no screen protection. So yes it can be separated into 2 parts. I think you can actually still use the keyboard as it is bluetooth. The pencil holder is part of the plastic case also. I have this case and the Logitech one, I prefer this one.

- Answer When I got the keyboard initially, I thought it was great but after two months it would not hold a charge. I contacted Zagg and they replaced it although they were not happy about it. The keyboard NEVER held a charge for two years and barely two months. Now, a year or so later, the numbers on the keyboard no longer work. I have gone to the internet for troubleshooting. In the end, I think this keyboard is essentially junk.

QuestionDoes the keyboard include a keyboard lighting when you type something especially when in dark rooms? If I preorder this, when will it arrive or be available?

- Answer The keys have lights under them and they automatically come on when you type. The letters on the keys don’t actually light up as the light shines from around the keys. There is enough reflective light that I can type in a dark room. You are able to turn the light off or select from three different brightness levels. You can also change the color of the light between 7 different colors.

- Answer The two iPads are different sizes so the cases are different sizes. Your iPad Air case probably doesn't hold the pencil. Otherwise they should be functionally similar.

QuestionCan you use this in "movie mode" (i.e. By folding the keyboard behind the tablet)? Can you fold the keyboard under the tablet so you can use the tablet like reading a book? Most importantly, can I return if it does not fit my needs?

- Answer No. The keyboard cover has its own charging cord, and is charged separately from the iPad. The keyboard cover holds a charge much longer than the iPad, I don't know how long yet, because mine is still on its initial charge.

QuestionDoes this ONLY come with a USB cord to charge? Am I missing something in my box?! No wall outlet piece to plug the cord into... don't see the wall outlet connector to pair and charge via wall outlet.

- Answer Correct. It only comes with the usb cord. You can use your ipad’s charger. Its pretty common for products like this not to come with the wall plug. Honestly, i charged mine over a month ago and its almost full still.

QuestionI dropped the ZAGG rugged messenger on the ground and my screen is broken. my bestbuy customer rep told me about the case would protect my iPad against a drop from my hands. My screen broke when I dropped it. How do i get my screen replaced underwarranty

- Answer We're sorry to hear that, Scott! While our cases can protect your device from most drops, they aren't 100% infallible. Though we can't replace the iPas itself, we'd be more than happy to get you a new case

- Answer I just got my Zagg keyboard so it may be different. Hold down the function key and press the down arrow to turn on the keyboard lights. Pressing the down button multiple times will cycle through the light intensity. On mine I can also change the keyboard color by holding the function key and pressing the right arrow. Hope this helps.

- Answer This specific case only works with iPad Pro 10.5" model numbers: A1701 (Wi-Fi only) and A1709 (Wi-Fi and Cellular). It will NOT work on A1430 (which is the 2012 3rd Generation iPad).

- Answer There are "scoops" or forward facing ports (slots?) in the case at each speaker location. They work really well to direct the sound towards the user. I had been expecting holes in the case at each speaker location (like the less expensive Speck case) but the ports work very well, while also protecting the speaker ports on the iPad.
